Overview
CresteBe is a multidisciplinary engineering firm based in Kinshasa, active for more than 22 years in architecture, engineering, urban planning and civil engineering. Its portfolio is impressive: administrative buildings, hotel projects, and educational and healthcare infrastructure across the DRC. But its online presence did not reflect that level of expertise and the credibility built up in the field.
A slow site, an unclear structure, and above all invisible in local searches such as “engineering firm Kinshasa” or “architect DRC”. This project involved rebuilding a fast, well-structured site, optimized to be found by Google (SEO) as well as by AI search engines (GEO).
Problem to Solve
The existing site did not highlight the team’s professional qualifications and lacked the essential reassurance elements for a company that responds to institutional tenders.
Project Goals
Build a portfolio that can be filtered by project type (administrative, hotel, healthcare, education…)
Showcase the team’s credibility (professional association memberships)
Design a clear, functional, conversion-oriented contact form
Apply a consistent visual identity across the whole site (colors, typography, logo usage)
Build an advanced semantic CMS for autonomous, scalable management of projects and articles
Add subtle scroll and hover animations without hurting performance
Guarantee a 100% mobile-friendly experience on every page template
Improve accessibility (contrast, keyboard navigation, semantic HTML structure)
Optimize loading speed and Core Web Vitals
Structure the content for local SEO and indexing by AI search engines (GEO/AEO)
Our Approach
Fenrise rethought the entire digital presence of CresteBe, from information structure to technical optimization. Every design, content and code decision was made to strengthen both the perceived credibility and the real visibility of the firm.
1. Visual identity & consistency
Fenrise applied a consistent visual identity across the whole site (color palette, typography, treatment of project images) to give an immediate impression of seriousness and professionalism, which is essential for a company that responds to institutional tenders.
2. Architecture & advanced semantic CMS
The site is built on a structured CMS that lets the CresteBe team manage its projects autonomously, with categories, subcategories and custom fields (client, year, sector, location). This semantic architecture makes it easier for users to navigate and for search engines to understand the content.
3. Animations & mobile experience
Carefully calibrated micro-animations (scroll reveals, smooth transitions, hover effects) add a finishing touch without ever slowing the site down. Everything was designed mobile-first, with suitable touch targets and a tighter content hierarchy on small screens, not a simple adaptation of the desktop version.
4. Accessibility
Semantic HTML structure, compliant color contrast and working keyboard navigation: the site was built to remain usable by as many people as possible, a point that is often overlooked but increasingly expected, including by institutional clients.
5. Contact form & conversion
A simplified contact form with only the essential fields, to reduce friction and maximize quote requests: a smooth way to get in touch rather than a long, discouraging form.
6. Technical performance
Compressed images, lazy loading and optimized code: the site was built to load quickly on every connection, including variable mobile connections, a key issue in the DRC.
7. SEO, GEO & AEO
The content was structured with a dual goal: good ranking on Google (tags, heading structure, internal linking between project pages) and better understanding by AI answer engines (GEO/AEO) through structured data and factually dense, clearly organized content. A lever still largely underused by engineering firms in the DRC, and therefore a real competitive advantage for CresteBe.
Measurable results
790% increase in organic clicks
1602% increase in impressions
556% more clicks on the homepage, ranking for a key query in the sector
“We greatly appreciated the work done on our website. The result is modern, professional and perfectly matches the image we want to give of our engineering firm.”

Conclusion
This redesign shows how a clear architecture, optimized speed and a structure built for SEO and GEO/AEO can turn a showcase site into a real tool for credibility and visibility, for a company whose expertise is proven in the field but which now also has to prove itself in search results, whether human or AI-generated.
